About Us
Haramaya University (HU) is one of the pioneer higher learning institutions in Ethiopia, established in 1954 as the Imperial Ethiopian College of Agricultural and Mechanical Arts, and has recently designated as a research‑intensive university. The University comprises nine colleges, Institute of Technology (HiT), and Sport Science Academy (SSA), and offers 287 academic programs, out of which 71% of the programs are post-graduate, and additional specialty, sub-specialty, certificate, and higher diploma programs. HU’s research undertakings are organized into six thematic research areas, 14 research stations, and Health and Demographic Surveillance Systems (HDSS) that providecritical population-level data to inform health policies and scientific inquiry. The University also hosts the Africa Center of Excellence for Climate‑Smart Agriculture and Biodiversity Conservation (ACE-SABC), which strengthens regional innovation and capacity building. With strong and growingresearch, HU has produced over 5,500 Scopus-indexed publications ONLY, accumulated 269,759 citations and achieved an h-index of 147, reflecting its rising impactin regional and global scholarship. No. There is no fee required before or after the conference. Participation is completely free.

Yes. Participants may submit multiple papers, but each submission will go through the standard review process.
How will I know if my paper has been accepted?
You will receive an email notification after the review is completed. Accepted papers will also appear in the Author Dashboard.
Will the conference sessions be recorded?
Yes. Selected sessions may be recorded and made available after the conference, unless otherwise specified by the speakers.
Is food or refreshments provided during the conference?
Yes. Tea breaks and lunch will be provided by the hosting university for all on-site attendees.
Are travel expenses covered?
Yes, for local. Travel expenses must be covered by the participants or their institutions if he comes from abroad. Only accommodation is provided for all.
Will there be an online participation option?
Yes, there will be an online presenters/session. The details will be posted on the website.
Can I get an invitation letter for visa purposes?
Yes. After your registration is accepted, the conference secretariat/organizer can issue an official invitation letter upon request.
